FIRE AT SOUTH SPIT
A tire broke out this morning about twenty to seven o’clock in a house owned by Mr Wm lltill of the Dunedin Hotel, and occupied until yesterday by .Hr Thomas Howard. The house is situated near the approach to Ahihinnpua creek on the town side, leading towards the golf links, and was known n recent years as ” Hill (!(>.” Mr llioiitas Howard had resided there for
some years but yesterday removed to Takutai, a short distance away, and at the time of tin* outbreak the house was not occupied, and at present there is no Hue as to the cause of the outbreak. The building was insured in the Northern Office for £l5O. The building was completely destroyed.
