MONDAY. MAY lth. The Board met at 5.15 p.m. Present: .Messrs .1. J. Breeze, 0. 11. Blank, IE Davidson, W. .loll'ries, A. B. Spiers. T. W. Dull'. E. A. Wells and R. Meliarry The Sc ret ary (Mr T. W. Mr A. 1!. 'N'iers. lie then invited nominations for the position of Chairman for the ensuing two years. Mi Jeffries said in aeeordanee with

and carried. Mr Jeffries then moved that Mr Breeze he re-rlecied Chairman of the Board for the ensuing two years, lie iicupni-cd ih<- sterling worth ol the work he had done in the past. It was worthy of notice that in August of this year Mr Breeze will have been connected with the work of the Hospital for Iti year-, lie had pleasure in moving his re-election.
Mr Davidson seconded the motion, eulogising the past untiring work o( Mr Breeze in connection with the hospital. He well deserved the honour of re-elect ion for a further term. The motion was agreed to on the voiees, and Air Breeze was declared elected for (lie ensuing term as Chair-
Air J. J. Breeze took the chair and thanked members very sincerely for ihe honor conferred on him in re-elect-ing him a- Chairman. It wa- a labour of love and anything lie had done had b-en done willingly and to the be-i of his ability. .MOTION OF CONDOLENCE.
The Chairman then referred to thi death of thi> Rt. Hon AY. E. Ala-.-ey. prime Minister, and moved :
‘That this Board tenders to Airs Massey and family its extreme wir|.,;w and londolenre ill their bereavement and deplores the loss to the D >- minion of an honourable state-man. and a nolle gentleman."
The motion was carried in silenei mead . r- - l anding.
The Chairman moved that, the Board congratulate the Hon 11. B. Al.ieliel on his reappointment to the Legislative Council. Seconded by Air Jeffries and carried.
Tho "Board then adjourned until the next ordinary meeting as a mark ot respeet to the memory of the late Prime Minister.
