ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. SMALL YARDING*. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardiaa), CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. .Messrs 11. AlaLson and Co., report as follows rogatding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday Owing in the inclement weather onlv about .jOOO .store sheep wore yarded. There was a decided shortage ot young ewes. Forward lamb- were keen throughout the sale. , Threequarter tired e"e lambs made to 27s <),|. j-bred "ether lambs lo 24s 7d, I. (I and 8 tooth ewe.x Ails Gd to 375, sound and failing 27s to 2’Jfi, aged lbs to 255, according to condition, forward wethers AOs to AA.s Id, medium wethers 27s to 2Rs Gd. All "ethers sold well. Mutton A smaller yarding than hist week, and prices showed a hardening tendency. Ihe quality was irregular ami comprised mostly ewes. Prices were Is Gd per head bettei than the previous week. Prime wethers made AFs to ID Gil, medium Ass to ABs (id. prime ewes A2s Gd to ABs, extra to !As. medium 2is to A2s. inferior 2Ax to 2Gs. Exporters operated freely.
Reef A total yarding of 510 head ns against 800 two weeks ago. The market "as an excellent one for id' classes which sold readily. I o-dny s prices were: —Prime steers £ll e £lB 10s, Ist. class £lO to £l3. prime heifer- £!) to £l3. medium heifers £•> to £7. prime cows £7 to £O. 2nd.' class £3 Ft- to £0 F’s. Store i attic—A nondescript entry, comprising mostly ot cows. I lueo and lour year old steers made £•>. There was a good demand for any oi the l.e-t showing breeding. There v.'ere no othi r quotable entries. Fat lambs - Another small yarding. The quality was only fair, but the market "'as firm. The average price was ! 2'■ d over all. Figs.- A large entry in all departments "ere forwarded and the market opened easier, but improved as the sale progressed, bar-oners especially being favoured with a slight rise.
