REFEK EES’ ASSOCIATION

The annual meeting of the Referees’ Association was held last evening, Air E. IV. llocnan in the chair. Air D. R. Dowell was elected President for the ensuing year unanimously. Air E. AY. licenuu was appointed secretary and Treasurer, and Alessrs AY. A. AA’ilson and B. Dowell were appointed Vice-Presidonts.

Air A. Askew was appointed referee for tiie Kiwi v. United match on Saturday, and Air B. Dowell for the Ross v. Kanieri junior match at Hokitika, botli at 3 p.m.

The president, secretary and delegate were apointed an Emergency Committee.

Other referees appointed were:— Kiwi v. Araluira (junior) 1.30 p.m Air AA r . A. AA’ilson.

Excelsiors v. Kumara (junior) at Kunmra, Air A. Sumner.

Harihari v. Kokatahi at Kokatahi Air Alclvor.

AVESTLAND SUB-UNIOX

The AA’estland Sub-Union met last evening. Present: Alessrs F. McGregor (President), J. Burns, D. Dowell, Coulson, Stafford, Breeze, Cutbpsh, Aroyiiiha.il, Lawn, Aloore, Howat and Hecnan.

The Referees’ Association notified appointment of referees. —Received and recommendations adopted.

Air Burns moved that the motion carried on April 13th. granting reinstatement to J. Adamson, L. Robertson and J. Senile as juniors bo rescinded. Seconded by Air Dowell a.i'i lost on tlio casting vote of the ciiair

Applications for reel ass i fink m f:om seniors to juniors were granted to the following players:—AA . O’Brien, R. Carter, C. Neilson, C-. 11. Lambert, H. Fleming, M. Wallace, AL Baird, C. Fleming, J. Neilson, R. Aloynihan, J. Duncan, AY. Harrington, AA r . Leslie, T. Tomlinson, H. Steele, J. Jeffeott, T. Bannister, R. Cugich, C. Alurtha, P. Fox, R, McGill, J. Alurphy, G. Alurtha AY. J. Bcnvon, AL Rochford. The fixtures published for Alay 2nd. wore approved. Air D. R. Dowell was appointed selector for the AA .C.R.U. district. The meeting then terminated.

The United senior team to play against Kiwis on Saturday at Hokitika is as follows:—Mori, Jamieson (3), Richmond, AVarnes, Lamherton, Stephens, Dodson, Chartcris, Ames, AValton. Black, AlcKav, Grant, Tindalo and Spora.
