AMERICAN TOURISTS FOR N.Z. AUCKLAND. April 22. The Cmiard liner Carinthia, which is due in AYellington on the morning of December 21th, 1025. via Pacific ports, with a large number of tourists, will he engaged on the largest and most, comprehensive tourist trip ever undertaken. The Carinthia is to sail front New 5 ork on October litth, though passengers may join at Los Angeles on October 25th, and at San Francisco on October 2ith. The ship is a new 20,000-ton Cunarder. and is the latest addition to the fleet. She is especially suited tor cruising in warm latitudes, having con spicuously 1 1 road decks and a swimming pool. The vessel is an oil-huinei. has a length of 62-1 ft. and a width of 7:t'.lt. She is stated to he. generally, equipped luxuriously, and among other things the appointments include garden lounges, printing office, beaut) shop, and laundry. Hie Carinthia is scheduled to sail Horn Auckland at midnight on December 22nd for Wellington, where she should arrive on the morning of December 21th. Site will leave the same day for Sydney. Hobart, Melbourne, and Fremantle. From there she will journey to Java. Straits Settlements, Ceylon. Bombay, Cairo, Naples, Monte Carlo. Gibraltar. Cherbourg and Southampton, and finally New York.
