At the annual meeting of the Foothail Association, Chairman Clegg presented the Australian representative, Gibbs, with a handsome trophy for transmission to the Xew Zealand Association, similar to those presented to South Africa, Australia and Canada. Clegg said the trophy carried on it the best wishes of the Council for the success of the game in .Yew Zealand and prosperity of its governing body, lie regretted that the team now oil its way to Australia would be unable to visit Xew Zealand. It. was possible New Zealand's wishes would be met on a future occasion. Gibbs in accepting the trophy echoed the regret. He said the fact had caused profound disappointment. On behalf of Xew Zealand be accepted the trophy with gratitude.
