U7ITEALIAN AND N.a. CAULS ASSOCIATION. PROFIT ON VICTORIAN TOUR. CHRISTCHURCH, April 26. At the quarterly meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Cricket Council, Air J. S. Barrett presiding, it was reported that tin* tour of the- A ielorian team would result in a- small profit, and there would he a slight refund to the Associations who had given guarantees. Roughly the profit was about £l5O, and £250 would lie divided among the Associations.
MY Fi. E. Bean (Afanager of the Victorians) conveyed appreciation of the many kindnesses extended to the team, by the Council and the citizens genernliy. Tie stated the Dominion possessed many promising players, and ihe standard of the game was higher than usually credited in Australia. The chairman said that arrangements for a tour of Australia next season by Dominion teams were in the hands of an agent in Sydney. There was a possibility of the Australian team to visit England travelling via New Zealand, which would enable them to play four matches in the Dominion.
Afr D Reese was appointed a commission to investigate the AYingham Cup dispute, a West Coast matter, aml to report at next meeting of the Council.
