The Christchurch ‘ Spectator” regrets to state that the non issue of daily bulletins regarding the Prime Minister's health cannot he regarded as indicating any improvement. On the contrary, says the paper, it i.s evidence that the fell disease from which he is suffering is steadily pursuing its course towards the inevitable end. It is now widely and generally recognised that there is no reasonable hope of his recovery. and that his life hangs by a thread. Front all quarters come expressions of sympathy and hopes fur his recovery, hut our information is that he is beyond the point where these cttu comfort and assist him, though they must he a melancholy satislaction to Mrs Massey and his family and friends.
