AX EXTENSIVE LIST. Consequent on the numerous retirements of postal officers as the result of the TO year limitation Of service, an extensive list of promotions has been arranged. Amongst the more important are : Mr 11. P. Donald, chief p.oslina.-! at Timarti. succeeds Mr . E. Broadfoot, chief postmaster at Christchurch, who is retiring in June. Air W. T. Johnston, assistant postmaster at Christchurch, replaces Mr Donald at Timaru. I Air F. W. J’vnliiigton. chief postmaster at Napier, has hoof) promoted to chief postmaster at Dunedin, viie Mr A. K. McGregor, retired. Afr 0. A. Alnthieson, at present chief postmaster at Greymoutli, replace? Air Penlington as chief postmaster at Napier. Air D. Al. .Mackintosh, postmaster at Dannoviike, succeeds All* Alathieson 11s chief postmaster at Greymoutli. Air H. E. Filde.s, chief postmaster at Westport, succeeds Air AY. T. Johnston as a sistant postmaster at Christchurch. Mr H. D. Davies, .postmaster at Rangiora, is promoted to chief postmaster at Rangiora. Afr A'. Brooks, postmaster at Rotorua. has been promoted to chief postmaster at Blenheim, viie Air A. Dawson promoted post-master at Palmerston North, Air ,T. N. Neville, supervisor at the Telegraph Counter. Wellington, succeeds Air Williams at Lyttelton, who is retiring at the end ol the present month. Afr D. P. Porteous, postmaster, at Inglewood, and formerly postmaster at Akaroa. has lieen promoted to Inspector. General Post. Office, Wellington. Air G. W. Hazleton, postmaster at Gore, has been* appointed Chief Postmaster at- Nelson. Air A. A\ . Dovnei, of Waimate, and formerly of Reefton, succeeds Mr Hazleton .0 Move.
