At the re-opening of schools today the attendance in the primary schools was about normal, except for a slight reduction in the size of the primary classes. Seven i uses ui’ iniantile paralysis were reported yesterday, all in country districts. Two are in Auckland, three in Wellington, and cue in Canterbury. The Wellington cases are in Daiuicvirke, Ilawera and lekaKa.
In the live days preceding yesterday, the notifications totalled 20, seven ol which were in the Wellington district. TIMARI', April 15. It is 24 days -since a case ol infantile paralysis was not mod here. INVERCARGILL, April 15.
In consequences ol the (ontiiiuaneo of the restrictions in connection with the infantile paralysis epidemic, and the financial considerations involved, it has been .decided to abandon the Invercargill Winter Show.
