ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 9. Messrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows regntding tlieir stock sail it Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep.—-A much smaller yard ing than last week, and comprise! mostly local sheep. The tone of tin market for ail classes was linn, at las week’s rates, especially for the lies class of ewes and forward lambs am wethers. Forward | weaners and small stores were easier, | but largo stores met with a good | competition and realised full market i values. It is wonderful where the ; supplies of beef came from, hut far more wonderful where it goes to. Exporters were again operating on suit- ] able shipping sorts. Alutton.—An average yarding, mostlv owes and the quality all round with the exception of one or two linos of wethers, was very irregular. Because lho quality of the yarding was general- | ly indifferent it looked as though prices were easier all round, but such is not the ease and per pound prices were much the same as recently ruling. Prime wethers 38 to -12 s fid; extra to 455, medium 35s to 37s fid; others down to 32s lOd ; prime ewes 31s fid to 375; extra to -Its fid; modin in 27s to 32 s: lighter 23s to 20s Od : im. others down lo 19s Ifld. l„ I Fat Lambs.—Another very small yarding and included several lines |:| from the West Coast which in most cases showed distinct want ol finish.
