X.Z. TEAM GOING TO AUSTRALIA. CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. An invitation to send a New Zealand cricket team to Australia was accepted hy the Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council (o-nig,ht. The Australian Board of Control wrote stating it would 1>« pleased to receive a visit from a Xcw Zealand team in the 1925-26 season. It was prepared to advance ‘Jo ]W cent of the net takings of all the matches towards the expenses of the tom and it would he pleased to know in a few months’ time, the period of the visit.
The Queensland Cricket Association wrote asking if the Council would agree to a team of Queensland cricketers touring the Dominion in 1925-20 or 1926-27 season.
It was resolved to reply that the learn could not he received ill 1925-20 seas,,ll, anil that I lie I! 12(1-27 season was too far away for Ihe Council to commit itself.
