I am advising th</ 'Clubs accordingly. I note the Dates' Committee’s Resolution regarding the allocation of the Cheviot and the Lake County Jockey Club’s licenses. As it is too late now for the Westland llae- \ ing Club to utilise the loan this year of the Cheviot Racing Club’s permit, it has been decided to loan the permit J this year to the North Canterbury Raeing Club. Re the Lake County Jockey Club’s permit it has l>eeii decided to grant a loan for this year of one day each to the Wellington and Riverton Racing Clubs. I am advising lito clubs accordingly. THE COATEHENCE IGNORED. The following reply to this memo, was sent on the 3rd. inst. by the Secretary of the Racing Conference: —“The President acknowledges your telegram and takes note of your ministerial decisions, over-ruling the recognised governing body of the turf, and contravening Rule 14. Part 3, of the Rules of Racing.”
