Play was fast, but except on the left wing neither attack combined effectively. AH the footballers were quick on the ball. ' Towards the interval Scotland played up splendidly, all the forwards showing to advantage. In some loose play Gailaeher scored a grand shot. At half time the. score was Scotland 1. England nil. . On resumption Scotland continued to' nlav better football and England s halves' were busy checking the clover iiirwiards. Three minutes before tin finish Gailaeher scored again, the • match resulting Scotland 2, England
