All accounts due to Outran < f Clyde I lake 1 y are requested to he juid forthwith. It is understood that Dr. H. M. Buchanan, Medical Officer of the Sea View Mental Hospital, is under orders for transfer to Sunnyside .Mental Hospital Christchurch. The change is one involving substantial promotion. The ,suc( essar fur Hokitika is not appointed yet, hut I),-. Tizard of Auckland is in take (barge here temporarily for a month prior to being located permanently at Nelson. Dr. Buchanan will he leaving lure at the end of the month. Needless to say Dr. Buchanan along with Mrs Buchanan will carry away with them the golden opinions of all Coasters with whom they have come in ( 011tact. Dr. Buchanan's work at the local mental hos] ital speaks for itself, not only in regard to the reformed nature of the institution itself, hut best of all for the marked improvement in the health and condition of the ffittients who have benefited greatly hv the modern system of treatment. It goes without saying, too, that the staff will be sorry to lose so excellent an organiser as Dr. Muchanan "'ho has been responsible for so many changes for the hotter in the inner workings of the local institution.
