AERIAL SERVICES. .MELBOURNE, April :L In the opinion of the .Minister of Defence. Mr lluwse. aerial comtnuniealion between the capital and cities is not likely to he so valuable to Australia as the aerial services which link lip the remote country districts. It is announced hv the Civil Aviation Branch of the Defence Deaprlment, that the 'Adelaide-Syiliicy service will he abandoned and efforts will he made In its place to develop services in remote country districts. A fierce storm, with wind often attaining 711-miles an hour did damage amounting to many thousands in Adelaide. it is described as the worst storm for seventy years. Many roots were Mown olf and intuit done by Hying iron. Some partially built houses collapsed. No casualties ate reported.
