REINSTATED PLAYERS. WELLINGTON, April 1. At the New Zealand Rugby ! nion s meeting to-night, notice ol a motion was given by Auckland tor discussion at, the annual meeting as toll lows: “That Hie resolution passed on the annual meeting ‘that no reinstated placers lie included in a New Zealand team be expunged from the records. TILE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE. WELLINGTON. April 1. At a meeting of Ihe management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night. -Mr S. S. Dean said that the papers in connection with the Imperial Rugby Conference were on tile way out.
Referring to the kiek-into-toueli rule, he said that it was rather a misnomer, as it was concerned only with games in the United Kingdom. At tlie Imperial Conference, France was excluded ami he thought that this would encourage tlie Continental Unions to forrn a Hoard of their own. Germany, Spain, Roumania and Czeclio-Slovakia, as well as France, were taking up Rugby, and this meant that soon it would have a good hold in Europe. The French were rather hurt about being excluded from the Conference. All the Dominions, excepting South Africa, were in favour of admitting them, but the English authorities thought the Conference should bo an Empire affair. Inferring to the kick-into-touch rule. Mr Dealt 'said that France and Canada had decided to give it a trial immediately. while -England also would very likely Lest the rule next season Discussion was postponed until the papers arrrive. '
