POUND DAY.

Pound Day on Saturday was affected financially hv the weather, whirl, was wet in the morning and-cold ill the afternoon and evening. Mesdames Benjamin. Rutland and Stuart were the ladies in charge of the depot in Rovell Street, kindly placed at the disposal of the R.S.A. by Air S. J. Preston. The effort to raise additional fMinis will he continued next- Saturday, when the occasion will he known as a Flower Day. Again gifts of all kinds will l,e acceptable, and help in any direction will he appreciated. Gilts of flowers will he welcomed specially, and the help of young ladies to cell tne flowers will lie appreciated greatly. Those willing to help might advise Mrs Benjamin (telephone 225) or Ain Stuart (telephone 34). Donations of fruit, vegetables, poultry, cookery etc. fur sale could he advised over the phone also, and arrangements will he made to collect the gifts.
