James Dagworthy, while Stirling at Coogee, was savagely attacked by a shark, but beat the monster off, and managed to escape with a severely mangled leg, which, probably, will have to be amputated. Dagworthy was taken to the hospital in a serious condition.

Northern Territory reported in the acting administrator that extensive enquiries from natives m Caledonia Bay ili-triu. regarding the Story of the white women alleged to be hold captive, had proved fruitless. This i,s regarded ill the Homo Territory Department as practically conelusive that the story of the Douglas Miiwson survivors being seized by natives and black!ollows is a myth.
