The New Zealand Rugby Union yesterday sent warnings to members of __■ the late All Blacks football cornbinntion that thev must not accept gifts of cash from admirers. On returning home the men have been showered with nresentations of various kinds including. in some eases, it is understood, cash, and this the union draws the line at. and where any cash has l>ecn aceeDted it has to be returned at once. —sV The Englnsh Rugby Union’s interpre- > tation of the amateur rule is very strict and though in Australia and New Zealand there has Ix’cn some latitude allowed in the past tlie New Zealand union now thinks the time has come to make a stand : hence the warning which it is anticipated will he sufficient to prevent any further mistaken presentation. Tt is recognised that the All Blacks have been the victims of admiring but unthinking friends in their desire to show fheir appreciation.
