It consists of capturing the emanations from radium, and purifying, condensing and bottling them .in small glass tubes whose interior is as thick ns a human hair. Each tube is sufficient for one (lose. This radium gas is called radon and it makes it posiblo to multiply by thousands the curative value of any given quantity of radium.

Hitherto the Middlesex Hospital was thought to he the largest holder of radium than any hospital in the world.
