Eight eases of infantile paralysis were reported in the Auckland Health District to-day. One was a woman at Cambridge of the age of thirty-eight. The death of a girl aged 17, lias occurred at Hamilton Hospital. DR TELFORD’S RESIGNATION. CHRISTCHURCH, March 25.
It is understood a movement is on foot in the city to make strong representations to the .Minister of Public Health, Sir .Maui Pomaro, on the subject of the retention of Dr T. F. I elford’s services as Medical Officer of Health for Canterbury and YYest Coast.
It is also stated that the oirenmsianees leading up to bis resignation will he the subject of a departmental enquiry.
