Referring to his previous challenge to Baddon, Goodsell is reported to have declared he thought that night have taken less time to decide whether he would accept the challenge or transfer the chnmpiionship title to someone else instead of keeping MeDevitt waiting two months, and the inference drawn by hearers was that Baddon had no desire to meet Goodsell.
