ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
31. Houston and Co. report:—At the above sale yesterday, our entry consisted of 67 fat sheep, 35 fat cattle,.also a, line of store cattle a.nd breeding ewes. The usual buyers were in attendance, and competition was good, the prices realised being on a par with., those of
the last sale. Our entry of cattle consisted of good quality heifers and cows,, which sold at 27s to 30s per hundred, whilst the 3 pens of fat sheep met with a good sale. The following were the sales:— On account of T. Staines, 2.4 fat prime Canterbury ewes at 35s SVI, 22. at 35s 9d, and 21 at 35s 9d ; on account of F. G. Williams and Sons, 4 heifers at £•8. 3 at £7 17s Gd, 3 at £9 ss, 2: at £9, 2 at £B. 2 at £7 17s 6d. 3 at £7 15s, 3 at £7 17s Gd, 3 at £7 10s, 2 at £B, 2 at £B, 2 at £B, 2 cows at £8 ss. 2 at £S 12s Gd; on account of Mr .T. McQuilkin, 1 cow and calf at £G, 1 eighteen months heifer at 80s; on account T. Staines, 15. 2f year store steers at £5 ss; on account of J). Bradley, 7 weaner pigs at 10s; on account T. J. Webb 1 horse, trap and harness at £l7 10s- ______
