Mills, Ilia Waterhouse's aged butler, gave evidence that Airs Wilson Barker first visited the Waterhouses twenty-hvc years ago. She was then aged about forty-live. Subseqeuntly she used to stay there five or six times yearly. The butler detailed instances of misconduct between Frank Waterhouse and Mrs Wilson Barker. The misconduct continued over a decade. Doctors gave evidence that Waterhouse was unable to walk alter 1911 as he sulfered from an aggravate;! form ol rheumatoid arthritis. Might etui months before he died he had to he carried everywhere. A solicitor Ktivc evidence that Haterhouse in 19U had nil income of £2,50!) under a life trust, plus a private income of £l,:i00. By Feh. 1922, the private income was gone. After argument, Mr Justice Sherman authorised the taking of extracts from Ladv Wilson Barker’s hank account to show the sums paid in, in hank notes, ‘between 1912-1922.
