A very large proportion were Iron: overseas as well as a good number of North Canterbury half-bred ewes. Only a medium number of lambs were in and very lew wethers. F.wes sold well throughout and as the sale progressed prices seemed to harden and generally showed an improvement on last week, l.aiuhs were, if anything, a. shade firmer, no doubt in sympathy with the improved prices of fat lambs. Wethers showed little, if any. difference. As the sale was still in progress when this report was sent it is hard to quote a range of prices, but taking the market all round there wills generally a firmer tone. We understand that there are very few North Island sheep still to come down.
