The .Magistrate’s Court wiis crowded this morning when Frederick Peter Aliuiat appeared on remand (barged with the murder of his wile. Nellie .Mount, on or about February 20th. John ]>. Alerrett (brother-in-law ol accused) and w!;o is leaving New Zealand shortly, gave evidence as to the married life of the -Mounts. Air Donnelly (Crown Prosecutor> intimated that' after .Mount had been remanded for another week, that the case would not be gone on with then, as there were scientific investigations to ho made. CHRISTCHURCH. .March 18. Alerrett gave evidence that Airs Mount was bis sister and had been born near Wanganui in 1883. She married Atouat in 1910 in England. Later they came to New Zealand and then went to South .Mica, returning to No" Zealand in 1f,20 or 1021. Atouat was licensee of Glennvy Hotel lor about a vear AY it ness visited the Mounts at Gleuavv and they appeared to be happy and doing well. After eavmg the hotel thev came to Christchurch.
