DAIRY CONTROL. RALAI F.RSTON N., March Id.' A largely attended conference of members of the Dairy Farmers’ Union, of the AA’ellington Provincial District was held this morning to consider the attitude of the Union toward the Dairy Control Board and the questions to be put to Air Grounds this afternoon. The meeting was in favour of the Maid Rustem of election. The consensus of op--s, jijion was that the farmers should assist the Board as far as possible though they disagreed in some respects with its actions.
LOCAL BODY OFFICERS’ CONFERENCE. STRATFORD, -March Id.
A conference ol local body olticors was held here to-day to consider the provisions of the -Motor Vehicles Act, and it was decided to urge the Government to revert to the former number plate laid down in the 1903 Act, and sub-divide the numbers in the Highway Districts and indicate payment of registration by an attached tag to be changed annually, instead of by the pnnual change of plates.
