At the Supreme Court in the ease of John .William Jjhniface, against the Gisborne Sheep Fanners’ Frozen Meat Company a claim for £1137 for injuries sustained by plaintiff through contact with a fan in the freezing chamber, the jury returned a verdict for £lO3. CHRISTCUURH, March 13. At the Supreme Court, the following prisoners were sentenced:—Alice May Harper for abandoning her child was released on probation for three years. Andrew Boys for theft, three years’ reformative treatment.
