The Southern Union Cricket Cup Competition for the season 1924-25 has resulted in a win for the Itimu Club, who now play, as soon as can be arranged, the winner of the Greymouth Union to decide the holder of the Wingham Cup for the season. The points scored in the competition are as follows
Ilium played 5 matches, won 4, lostl. Points scored 8. -fvimieri played o matches, won 3, lost 2, points scored 0. Hokitika A, played 2 matches, won 1, lost 1. Points scored 2. Hokitika B, played 2 matches, lost 2. Hokitika A and B combined played 2 matches, lost 2. Points scored nil.

Wellington’s second innings was continued, and the lawicket put on 51 runs. Victoria then required 257 runs to win. The opening batsmen did well, but, ’ although the others made short stands, they failed to reach their opponents’ total. Woodful batted soundly lor 50. Austin compiled a bright 30. The howling of Bndeock and Brice was again excellent, and the fielding except- for occasional lapses, was verygood. Badcr.ek bowled 25 overs, including live maidens.
