40STBALIAN AND N.Z. GABLE ASSOCIATION terrific cyclone. (Received this day at B.JO a.m.) BRISBANE, March 10. A cyclonic storm -which struck Cloncurry blew with terrific force for about five minutes and caused a great deal of damage in and around the town. The Methodist Church was blown completely off its blocks and cairied a distance of thirty loet. A large number of houses and buildings were unroofed, but no casualties are reported.

Airs l’cnsselly, her two children and her maid, Aiks Smith, were holidaying at an orchard when they become very ill and were taken to the hospital. A man, George Chalmers, picked grapes from the same orchard and uul.sequently died. .Miss Smith and the children are in a serious condition.

The Full Court has granted a rule nisi' returnable on Thursday, calling upon the Industrial Arbitration Court and .Mount Kctnhla Colleries Ltd., to show cause why a writ of prohibition should not be issued in regard to the sentencing of fourteen of the miners to gaol on the charge of taking part in a strike. SYDNEY, .March 9 The hearing of charges against 10-1 additional minors for participating in an illegal strike at .Mount Kemhki. Colliery was adjourned for a week, pending the hearing of the Full Court application, cabled earlier.

The Federated Seamen’s l nion offered to give the Federal Government security for the piertoriiuince of work without stoppages, if Air Bruce (Premier) withdrew the notification offering the Commonwealth Line lor sale. The security offered would he a substantial cash guarantee. So far, however, the Government are showing no eagerness to accept the offer. they aoparently not placing any reliance on the Seamen’s promises.
