TUESDAY, MARCH ICth. 1925. NOTICES OF MOTION. I.—The Chairman to move:—‘‘That the accounts presented for the month of February, 1925, as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee, amounting to ———— ha passed for payment.”
2.—The Chairman to move:—“That the Treasurer prepare the annual statement of apportionment of gross income, 'estimated for the year commencing on the Ist. April, and the proposed alioca- . tion of surplus revenue over the several Ridings as required by the ** Counties Act. and submit same for consideration of the Council in due course.”
3. —The Chairman to move:—“That Overseer Mdiner prepare a list of works for Government grants for the year, 1925-1926.” 4. —C’r Chesterman to move:—“That the Overseer be authorised to raise the lower portion of the Kokatnhi road adjacent to Whiley’s sawmill, for. a distance of about ten chains, at least one foot in height to avoid the frequent hoUl-up of motor traffic, by flooding, on the road in question.” 5. —Cr Chesterman to move:—“That a vote of £l2 lie authorised to continue the track round Lake Ivanieri at the upper end from the Styx.” G.—Cr Donovan to move:—“That Roadman Nolan he asked to estimate the cast of clearing and repairing a drain about 20 chains in length on the South Bank, Wafaroa track near the beach.” 7.—Cr Soarle to move:—“That the Highways Council he urged to put in hand the erection of a motor-bridge at Granite Creek crossing, near Fergusons where motor car traffic is often held up by floods.” "S.—The Chairman to move:—“That the Overseer he authorised to carry out road repairs as follows: Back Creek road for convenience of mining claims, £l2: Doughhov road for settlers’ access, £9.”
