[ BY TELr.GRADII — PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. FOURTH RENA XL A CASE. GKEY.MOFTII, .March 2. Yesterday the 4th case was admitted to the Grey Hospital, coming like the three preceding ones, from Runangu. All three cases that are in the hospital at present are those of very young children, the latest however, being the youngest, its age being hut fifteen months. It conies from the same family as that from which the second case came. All three little sufferers arcdoing as well as can he expected. CHRISTCHURCH, February 28. A girl, six years of age, from Lyttelton, who was admitted to the Christ, church Hospital on February 24th. died yesterday from infantile paralysis. There were seven new notifications during the twenty-four lions ended at noon to-day . At 9 a.m. to-day there were 58 cases in the hnsnitals in the Canterbury and Westland districts, fourteen being seriously ill. Of the 58 patients, 29 are paralysed, ten have muscular weakness, and 19 have no apparent defect. The number of notifications since the comn-.'-ncement of the epidemic is 212, and of these, 53 have been proved positive, with eight deaths, while 45 were negative, and 121 are still indefinite.

February 28. Four new cases, ami cue suspected case of infantile pararlysis were reportoil here on Saturday. The age of the ■laticnts range- from nineteen months to sixteen years.
