MCLEAN’S PICTURES,

T()-NIGHT-“THE STEEL KING”

McLean’s will present to-night a magnificent programme, the star picture being of (i mighty acts, entitled “The Steel King,” featuring Montagu Love. It is the story of a man who was so impressed by an injustice to his father that he mado it his object in life to crush the man who was responsible. Eventually his aristocratic enemy meets bad times and the Steel King is the highest bidder at the sale of the estate. He then reveals his identity and explains that he has coins to avenge his father and cast his enemy into the street. The owner is mystified until the Steel King tells of nn incident which happened in his boyhood and a most gripping sequence of events foliows making an extremely entertaining picture. It transpires that he through all his years of bitterness, has been under an obligation which he cannot disdain and an exciting elaimax is the result. There are. many surprising situations ably interpreted by a strong east including Montague fane and the story has been cleverly written. The striking interpretation of the part of John Blake “ The Steel King ” leaves nothing to he desired.- lie is ably supported by June Elvidge. A rollicking comedy, a gazette and the thrilling serial “Lightning Bryce” will conclude a. splendid programme. McLean’s Supreme Orchestra will render the incidental selections and usual prices will prevail.

The Fuller was near at hand on the fatal night, and his activities at the time of the murder were drawn from faltering lips hv a clever attorney.
