I 70s to 180 s per cwt (Is fipl to Is 7fd per lb) ; other t qualities. Tsos to 1(54s per-cwt (Is 4 (1 ? to Is old per Hi). i Argentine.—Finest, 178 s to 180 s per c cwt (Is 7d to Ls 7Jd per Hi); other ) qualities, IfiSs to 17(>s per cwt (Is fid to ls (i:|d per lb). Danish.—Slow. 224 s to 22fis per cwt (2s to 2s O’.d per lb). CHEESE. Prices are steady and trade is good. , Official quotations are:— i English.—Finest farmers’, steady. I 128 sto 132 s per cwt (Is l;Jd to Is 2jd l per lb). i Canadian.—The market is quiet. Coloured and white, 100 s per cwt (IOJ-il ; per lb); exceptional, 101 s per cwt (llld per lb). New Zealand.—The market is steady. Coloured and white, 94s to 90s per cwt (I Oil to l().[d per lb). A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Cumberland. CASEIN. Present quotations are: French rennet, £45 per ton ; English rennet, £-10 per ton ; German rennet. £SG per ton. HEMP. The .Manila market is firm and £ood business has Ix-on done. “J” grade February-May shipments sold at £sl to £52 10s per ton. New Zealand market quiet. Highpoints Feb-ruary-April shipments quoted £4l ; fair, £39 and value. Storks of New Zealand liemp in Great Britain at 31st. January were 30 tons as against G tons for same time last year. WOOD. At Bradford a better tone i.s reported in cross-bred. Merino tops are still slow and irregular. Nominal quotations are:—GUs (merino) 5s 7d t 5s lid; 56’s (super half-bred) 3s lid; ■lll's prepared (coarse cross-bred) 2s 7d per lb. OATS. 1 New Zealand Gartons nominal values are: Ala reh-April shipments, “A” < grade 32s to 33s per quarter of 32011>s I 0.i.f.; “B” grade 29s to 30s. Prices ex granary would he about Is per quarter more. Demand is not expected to be very great during summer, but may . improve alxmt the end of March with 1 redik-tion of -English supplies.
