ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE

At the usual fixture yesterday the yarding comprised .‘SBB sheep and i 4 head of fat cattle. There was a representative attendance of buyers, both butchers .and farmers, the latter being attracted by the fairly large yarding of breeding ewes, competition for which was exceedingly brisk and though some pens' of ewes were passed at the opening of the sale, .subsequently a total clearance was made. There was nothing outstanding ill the (at cattle pens, several of which were withdrawn. Prices were on a par with those of last fixture, light unfinished sorts selling fairly well. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—On account of a client 3-> -l-G-S tooth ewes at 40s. 50 fat wethers at 40s, 10 ditto at 355, 25 ditto at 345. On account Mr J. R. Wallace 113 Chatt.liam Island 4-G-3 tooth ewes at 41s, 78 breeding ewes at 38s Od. 77 ditto at 37s 3d. On account Mr W. Oldoro? 1 heifer at C 7 5. 1 runner at £5 12s fid. 1 ditto at £4 12s fid. On account Mr .T. McGregor 1 heifer at £0 <s fid 1 cow at £7 15s. 2 steers at £8 G * od. 1 sucker at £5 2s fid. 1 ditto at £•>. n account Mr W.
