ALLEGED VALUELESS CHEQUES. NELSON, Feb. 19. Athol Joseph Reeve Sutherland, alias A. Stewart, alias A. J. Walierake, alias Frank Stanley Reid, aged ”2, and a native of Australia, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court witli issuing valueless cheques at Blenheim. Accused was remanded till to-morrow. THE P.P.A. CAMPAIGN. DUNEDIN, February 19. In the course of Opening last night the Protestant Political Association campaign for the year, ATr Howard Elliott, stated that he hoped to raise .■£lo.ooo for the work. a. third of which had now been received in cash or promises.
