Felt. 18. At Victoria to-day the All Blacks defeated the Vancouver Island team by OS points (IS tries 7 of which were converted) to 4 points (a dropped goal). The ground was one of treacherous, slippery clay, whereon Xepitt found place-kicking almost impossible. There were ft.(100 spectators. The New Zealand team was:—Xepin, ■Steele, Brown and Robilliard; Cooke and .Mill: Dailey; Barker Muuio and Masters. West Stewart and White, Clippies and McClcary.
The Vancouver Islanders were worn down bv half-time.
Walter Bynjollson dropped a goal for Vancouver from the 2,syds. line in the second spell. Tries were scored m the first halt b\ Brown. Steel. Dailey, Robilliard, Mill, Brown. WseL and Cooke. Ihe first, second and loin til tries were converted b.v Xepin. The score- in the second half were got, in the following older;-—Dailey, Robilliard. Steel, Brown, Robilliard, Stewart. Barker. Robilliard, Muuro and Steel. The second and third were converted by Steel, while Cooke added goals for the seventh and tenth. TDK SICK LIST. LONDON, February IS In commemoration of Llanliey’s good light against the All Blacks the municipality has decided to name the street leading up to the football ground New Zealand street.
