[Reuters Telegrams.] IN THE COMMONS. LONDON, Fell. 17. In the Commons, in reply to .Mr AVedgewood Bonn, in regard to safeguarding the industries, Sir Chadwick pointed out that-the duty to he recommended to Parliament in any particular ease should he determined after consideration of the report of the Committee appointed to consider the application. The intention was that? in accordance with the usual practice, any duties should he imposed on imports from all sources, subject to a preferential rebate upon imports of Kinpi re products. Mr AVedgewood Bonn asked whether the Premier would consider it part of his Imperial preference policy to impose new duties on Empire commodities.
Mr Baldwin said there would he an opportunity to debate that.
