Ireland Rugby match, resulted in a draw, six points each. The ground was wot, and the ball greasy. In ...e first half Ireland tlid most of the attacking, sometimes pressing heavily, lint the defence oi the home side held grimly, and the spell ended : —England G, Ireland nil. In the second half, Ireland. playing against the wind, made the pate hot. They took advantage of the looseness ot' the English tackling, and evened the scores up. England rallied splendidly at the end. hut there was no further score. ENGLISH RUGBY UNION. LONDON. February 11. The Rugby Union, at a meeting, received the report of a Commission which inquired into Umpire Freethv’s report (cabled January 711 1 ) and decided to censure Edwards for undue roughness. The New Zealand Union will deal with the report as referring to Cyril Brownlie. The report of the Imperial Rugby Conference was received, and discussed. Instructions were given to the representatives on the International Board rcgardig the various changes suggested in the existing rules. It was decided to call a meeting of the 1 meprial Advisory Board on a dale to be mutually agreed upon between the Home Unions. New Zealand, South Africa, and New South Wales, proliablv next November, or December.
