[Reuters Telegrams.] ILLICIT DRINK TRAFFIC. NEW YORK, February 10. Philadelphia is the principal centre in the United States for manufacturing illegal drink from denatured alcohol. and Pittsburg is the centre for making illegal beer, according to a statement hv the Governor, Air Gilford Piiu'hot, in a message to the State Assembly, meeting at Harrisburg. The Governor asked for the passage of legislation to regulate distilleries and breweries and stated that, it the Bill were passed the sources of illicit liquor supplies in Pennsylvania would be dried up.
“It is a question of stopping the Hood of poison drink poured out over the State and the flood of crime, misfortune, disease and death,” the Governor said.
