At the Supreme Court, \\ illiam Robert Cooke, pleaded guilty to a charge of bigamy, and was remanded for sentence. James Rodgers was acquitted oil a charge of indecent assault- on a female. Ivy Freon*2ti was found guilty, with a. recommendation to leniency, on a charge of stealing £3 "slid. Sentence was deferred. SHEEP STEALING CHARGE. nrXEDTN. February 10. At the Supreme ■Court, James Ready, a soldier settler on the Teviot Station, was charged with stealing 17 sheep, valued at £sl, the property of His Majesty, The. King,, and that lie received from a person or persons unknown, 17 sheep, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. accused pleaded not- guilty. The case is unfinished and was adjourned till 10 a.m. to-morrow.
