The winners of the sections except Section H i.s therefore completed. The following nic the section winners : —- Section A—Blaxall (Westport) 3 wins. Section li, Smith (St. Albans) 3 wins. Section F, Conning (Hokitika 1 ) 2 "ins (after a tie with Graham, Grey, two games each). Section G, Chogwin (Beckenham), 3 wins. Section 11, unfinished. The green proved to he very fast and somewhat fiery and it had most of the players thinning at one time or another how to control their bowls, tbe green at times especially when there "‘as a cross wind from the north-cast during the middle of the day. proving very tricky. Generally the players expressed the opinion that the green "'as fast, enough for anything, the recent hot weather having made it very hare ill places and this added to the difficulty of correctly judging either the weight or the width at times.

There was some capital play and the fortunes of the game came and went, hut in most of the sections the actual winners showed a marked superiority and steadiness. The Ladies Committee excelled themselves in the generous attention that they gave to the wants of the players and visitors. It was a large hand to eater for. hut there’was a dainty morning tea ready at 9.30 a.in. and from thence onward at regular lij hour intervals there was full and plenty for all that so desired and full justice was done to the viands throughout the morning and afternoon.
