WEST COAST TOURNAMENT,
-MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9th
I he Most Coast Bowling Tournament was opened on the Hokitika Club’s green at 8 a.lll. in perfect weather the green being very fast, though too drv. owing to the fine spell of weather The players were present to time Mr f; H. Blank (President of the Hokitika C idi) welcomed the players and wished them a pleasant tournament, and then handed the green over to the Centre. lie announced, that the formal opening ceremony would take place in the afternoon, when the Chairman of the Centre (Mr J. Ring) would he present. At (ireynioutii the subsidiary play in the sections (19 pairs) is also taking place. The Pairs Competition was then l>egun and the following results are available:-
