AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION DUNDEE SUSPENDED. NEW YORK, February 7. Johnny Dundee, the former world’s featherweight champion, lias been indefinitey suspended by the New \oik Athletic Commission for failing to honour a contract to box Fred Bretonnel, of Paris, last month. The action was taken at the request of the French Boxing Federation, and it- completes an international hail on Dundee. SYDNEY, February 8. In a boxing contest at Lithgow, Jackson retained the flyweight championship of Australia, defeating Teddy Green on points in twenty rounds after a stirring contest. SYDNEY, February S. At the Stadium, Tommy Fnirhall defeated Louis Plees in eleven rounds, the latter skying the towel after receiving severe punishment. A FATALITY. AUCKLAND, February 8. During a practice sparring bout with Charles Purdy, the young Auckland boxer. Harry Stehr, complained of feeling unwell. ‘ Stehr left the ring, but collapsed and died, probably due to heart failure.
