BOWLING.

WEST COAST TOURNAMENT. OPENS ON MONDAY. The West Coast Bowling tournament opens on Monday. Play will take place on the Hokitika, green where 33 pairs will take part ill the Pairs Championship, six games taking place during the day, in which nearly all those engaged will have three games. On the Greymouth green 19 pairs will take pari, in the Pairs Championship, having been transferred for play from Hokitika owing to the large entry. The pairs and rink games will he continued at Greymouth on Tuesday. At Hokiltika the pairs will he continued all day on Monday, and on Tuesday three rink sections will ho played, the whole 16 rinks being engaged on the green for the whole day. Lady supporters of the Hokitika Club are providing morning and afternoon tee, for the players each day. On Monday Mcsdamos Blank and .7. H. Wilson will he in charge with a number of assistants.
