The maintenance vote for the main proposals far a further section of Kumara-Kapitea road are being approved, permitting tenders to he called ea rly. Proposals for Afalfroy’s bridge and other works are held over meantime. WATER SUPPLY. Referring to Hokitika water supply AYatkinson stated he believed the chief fault of the defective supply was the smallness of the pipe line at the intake and lie thought a pipe line twice the dimensions was necessary. He had considered the position fully after an inspection of the plans of the line and would make suggestions accordingly.
