I NANO All I’A .1 P NOTION SALE

McAfahon and Lee held their usual sale fixture at the above yards last Monday. This yarding comprised 23 head of fat cattle and SGG fat and store sheep. Buyers from Grey and Inangahua Valleys, also Westport, were present in force, together with the usual attendance of Town and Country butchers. Owing to the latter having full supplies of local beef on hand the yarding of fat cattle was a small one, and these were chieflv bought by the graziers. Hie quality of the fat and store sheep oiferetl was exceptionally good; a pen of M 3 wethers exciting general admiration. being very fine sheep.

Competition for fat and store sheep was very spirited and a particularly keen tone was exhibited for all classes of sheep which were offered, and this continued right to the close of the sale with a result that the whole of ttie yarding of sheep were cleared. The following sales were effected: 10 fat bullocks at £10: 9 at £8 15s; 2 cows at Co; 3 store cows at £2 2s Gd ; 1 stag at £2.

Fat Sheep:—l43 very" prime fat wethers at 42s 6d : 78 mixed fat sheep at 38s; 136 fat and forward mixed sheep at 34s 9d; 21, 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes at 33s 3d; 84, 2,4, and fi tooth wethers at 32s 9d ; 82, 2 and 4 tooth wethers at 28s; 119 full mouth ewes at 27s 6d; 3 rams at 21s 6d.
