The marriage took place recently at the Catholic Presbytery, Christchurch, of Mr Bruce Murray, of Kaiwarrn, to M-i.ss Josephine Holmes, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Holmes (Hokitika). The officiating priest was Father Murphy. The bride, who was: given away by her uncle, Mr A. Holmes wore a beautiful frock of white satin marocnin. made with pleated panel on one side, ami caught up on the opposite side by a large diamond-shaped ornament of brilliants. She wore the customary bridal veil and orange blossoms and carried a lovely bouquet - hothouse (lowers. The bridesmaid was Miss Lucy Holmes, sister of the bride, who was attired in a becoming dress of pale blue erepe-de-chiflp. and wore a white hat trimmed with silk ribbon and forget-me-nots, and carried a bouquet.
