On the advice of Lis Ministers and of the health authorities, the GovernorGcneral has decided to abandon his official visits, which he and Her I'.xeellellev bad arranged to make to Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and Timaru.
This decision has been taken in order to av'’'d risk to the children, which would he entailed by large public gatherings of the citizens during the prevalence of the epidemic of infantile iiaralvsis. For the same reason Their Excellencies have postponed similar visits, which they hod euiitemplaled making to Wanganui. Nov- Flymouth. Palmerston North. Napier and Hastings. For the pro.out. therefore, they will remain in residence at Government House, Wellignton.
